With over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, management, business planning, analysis, software engineering, operations, and decision analysis, Steve brings a wealth of experience needed to enhance technical operations for our clients and help them achieve greater success with their mission.

Before founding Ortman Consulting in early 2008, Steve worked in management consulting and was an officer in the US Air Force.  His Air Force career centered primarily at Air Force Research Lab’s Rome NY facility, where he worked alongside private and government engineers on a number of information technology projects for the Department of Defese and Intelligence Community.   As a management consultant in a top-ranked firm, Steve worked at various fortune 50 companies providing senior level consulting services in support of corporate innovation efforts.
