About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to provide financial operations support for the Depart-ment of the Air Force CLOUDworks program under the AFRL/RI SEEIT contract. This role requires a strong background in financial operations, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel formulation and data ma-nipulation to drive programmatic decision-making. This position is a hybrid role located in Rome, NY with the potential to telework up to twice a week once the individual is up to speed.

DAF CLOUDworks, managed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, NY, is the Department of the Air Force's (DAF) enterprise cloud adoption program. It delivers secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and services to support Air and Space Force missions, as well as broader Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives.

Requirements

Job Experience:


  • Three+ years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or five years total relevant experience in finance or accounting

  • TS/SCI Cleared preferred; however, Secret clearance or work supporting the Federal Government in an unclassified capacity is possible (with ability to be sponsored for TS/SCI clearance)

Skills/Experience:


  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel – including at least some of the following Data Analysis functions (power queries, pivot tables and charts, data validation, data transformation)

  • Advanced Formulas and Functions (Logical functions, lookup functions, text functions, date and time functions, dynamic array formulas, and error handling); automation and Macros

  • Prior experience developing advanced Excel solutions for tracking financial transactions is a plus

  • Experience with government online contracting and financial systems including:

  • Defense Logistics Agency “Wide Area Workflow” and Dept of Defense “Shared Data Warehouse”

  • Good communication skills, oral and verbal

  • Understanding of government contracts including understanding of the differences of government appropriations (RDT&E, O&M, Procurement, and Working Capital Funds)

  • Ability to track government funding from a lead through obligation.

  • Prior or present use of project management systems, JIRA and Confluence

  • Ability to work on a fast paced, dynamic team and multitask
